Here’s a web cam photo of my handwriting. This is my 6-list. A daily list of my priorities.
My Proudest Moment
Being a mom, it seems that there are a lot of proud moments. It is difficult to think of just one that stands out as my most proud. There really isn’t just one, but I can think of two.
My first would be when my daughter accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. To know that my daughter will be in Heaven with me, is extremely comforting. She got saved when she was six. Being scared of water it was a couple of years until she felt like she could get baptized, but she did. Such a grown up decision to make at such a young age.
My second proud moment would be when my son accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Now both of my babies will be in Heaven with me, praising the Lord. My son, my baby, has not yet gotten baptized because when we were going to our old church, he was too scared of the water also to be baptized. But he’s been ready for a year. I need to get him baptized.
Meaning Behind My Blog Name
I wanted a name that could cover our farm, homeschooling and anything else we wanted it to cover. I also wanted something biblical, to show our faith. A facebook friend mentioned to me the verse about spiritual fruit. I looked it up, in Galations, and thought about it for a while.
Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law.
This is definitely what I want to come away with when we are done with homeschooling! I thought about it some more. It applies to our farm life also. It applies to everything!
I don’t like to be normal, I enjoy being the black sheep. I think out of the box. Or try to anyways. I try to think of a name that is not the norm, but still represents what I want it to.
Fruits of Galatia is what I came up with. Personally, I love it. And with my kids being in 4-H, we’ll have our farm name posted at the fairs. I am hoping that someone will ask us what our name is about. I plan on having the kids memorize this verse to tell people if they are ever asked.
